Aphulaptse pass trekking

On Request / Per person

Trip Overview

Amphu Labtsa pass trekking elevation 5,845 metres (19,177 ft), is a glaciated pass covered in serac cliffs at the head of the Honku valley. Amphu Lapche pass provides a way out of the otherwise relatively isolated Honku valley.

Amphu Lapche pass trekking start from Lukla. There are two routes to reach the upper Hinku valley. Either we short trek through Zetrawa la pass or trek all the way to Pangkongma,  KholaKharka where the Panche Pokhari. The trek is a few days more to follow as Asian Hiking team itinerary. To reach the Khare, it is possible to do Tea house / Guest house trekking. After Khare, we need tented camping for a few days. Amphu Lapche pass is ice and rock climbing above the 5845m high. Amphu Lapche pass provides a good view of Lhotse Shar, Island Peak and many more. We need to fix the rope and prepare for trekking, the same as peak climbing. It requires all climbing equipment such as ice-x, climbing plastic boot, helmet, Jhumber (ascender and descend), carabineers, Down Jacket and down paint etc.

In our itinerary we mention that after crossing the Amphu Lapcha we have no camp in another base camp so we directly trek to Chhukum. It is possible to cross the Amphu Lapcha but if you want clock side you need one extra day camping in Chhukum side base camp. If the given itinerary does not match your interest, let us know. It is also noticeable to combine Everest base camp trekking or Island or Mera peak climbing too.

We provide "Aphulaptse pass Trekking" at the best price among many Travel and Tour companies out there. On request and depending on your itinerary, the cost of the "Aphulaptse Pass Trekking" will be disclosed. Everest High Passes Trekking in Nepal
Everest High Passes Trekking in Nepal
We went on the Everest Base Camp and 3 passes trekking and thanks to our guide, Suman, we had a wonderful experience. Suman is a fantastic, knowledgeable guide who not only guided us & took care of everything while on the trek, but also managed other aspects of the holiday, such as arranging our hotel in Kathmandu and booking our domestic flights to & from Lukla. Throughout the trek he was friendly, helpful & conscientious of our welfare, especially when one of our groups was suffering from altitude sickness.
All in all, Suman and his wonderful staff ensured that our trek was a fantastic and memorable experience. I've recommended this trek to all of my friends and look forward to coming back myself in the future.

Hello Suman
Our Nepal Trip (Mera peak and Amphu Laptse pass trekking) was great from start to finish. Everything went well from our arrival in Nepal to our departure on the final day. Hari was a superb guide and really looked after our team through sickness, accommodation and meals. One of our team member was ill on the second day of the trek, he gave Daimax and take care last two days. Hari adapted our programmed to accommodate everyone's needs. He always tried to create chance for us to meet local people on our trekking. Our Team wanted to get to know the people and the culture of Nepal. Hari and our two porters Santos and Resham were superb. Besides leading our walks, they made sure that our lodging was good as well as the hygiene standards. We loved dal bhaat and Hari told us Dal Bhat power 24 hours. The Amphu Laptse Trail was the perfect trek for us but it is more challenging as we didn't waste time at Lukla airports. This route not for easy going people. You need to love adventure.
Apart from the trek, the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at the end was fantastic and wonderful. We all loved our evening in Bhaktapur (rate durbar view) and our visit to "Garden of Dreams" and I would recommend these be included wherever possible in your trips.
We would all like to return to Nepal again and would definitely have Asian Hiking Team as our first choice. See you there.
Regards,
Nicole Boyd
