Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff, then transfer to the Hotel. Kathmandu is the colorful of Nepal, a fascinating blend of rational architecture and symbols of the twentieth century. Its artistic and cultural heritages are evident where ornately carried balconies mingle with beautiful shrines and temples. If you have time, we recommend that you check out Durbar square, home to the palace of Kumari Devi, considered to be a living goddess. It is also worth the climb to visit Swayambhunath the monkey temple. Explore the network of street Markets and allay Bazaars, and witness the burning Ghats at PashupatiNath. For those with a few extra days in Kathmandu, the neighboring towns of Patan and Bhaktapur are well worth a visit too.
Asian Hiking Team staff come to your hotel then we start to drive Shyabrubesi. We pass through the town of Kakani where there are great views of the Himalayas. For part of the way the road clings to the edge of a steep mountain. Before reaching Dhunche, there is a police check post where we must show our entry permit for the Langtang National Park, which you’ll be trekking through. There are excellent views of Gheng (6581m) and Langtang Lirung (7246m) to the north and Ganesh (7460m) to the west from Dhunche. Drive Zickzak road until crossing a suspension bridge over the Langtang River then we reach Syabru Besi, overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, start trekking on foot crossing the Bhot Khola (river) and very soon within 2 minutes again cross Langtang Khola. Following Khola into grassland to reach Dovan and Pahiro. May we have lunch in Pairo if you are hungry, otherwise continue walking inside the jungle. It is much possible to see huge monkeys and other wild animals. From Pairo one-hour walk to reach Bamboo. Several of the more moderate local peaks are quite climbable and provide breathtaking panoramic views of mountains in Tibet, including the 8027m Shisapangma, overnight in Kyanjing at the guest house.
